Having practiced law for almost 30 years, Mr. DeVore is an accomplished real estate attorney specializing in complex purchase, sale, leasing and financing transactions and the structuring of commercial entities. Maintaining an AV Preeminent™ rating from Martindale-Hubble®, he has represented real estate investors, national home builders, master developers, institutional lenders and real estate operating companies in many multifaceted transactions.

Mr. DeVore has worked for the last 12 years as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Focus Property Group, responsible for all day-to-day business operations of the Las Vegas-based real estate investment and development company and its affiliated entities. He previously served as general counsel for the company.

As a key member of the Focus executive team, he provided legal expertise in the structure and financing of some of the largest real estate transactions ever completed in Nevada, including the company’s successful bids for BLM land in the Las Vegas valley, and in the assemblage, operation and sale of Focus’ Mountain’s Edge and Providence master planned communities. Mr. DeVore was also instrumental in coordinating the formation of the Focus-led consortium which was the successful bidder at the BLM auction in June 2004, paying $557 million for the 1,953 acres of land in Henderson, Nevada known today as the Inspirada master planned community. He also guided the processing of more than $240 million in improvement district bond financings for those projects.

Prior to joining Focus Property Group in early 2002, Mr. DeVore worked for 15 years as an attorney and partner in the highly regarded real estate law firm of Goold, Patterson, DeVore, Ales & Roadhouse. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute; has served on the boards of a number of local charitable organizations and has lectured on real estate finance and title matters.



Mr. DeVore is licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada and has been admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in the State of Nevada.
